Alexis Tae

The person behind the name

Alexis Tae arrived in the industry after working in restaurants in Pittsburgh. She researched agencies before taking her first screen assignments, then built experience through studio productions and projects she made herself. Her early interviews describe a performer learning quickly while deciding what kind of working life she wanted.

Her credits include contemporary storytelling and period settings. An AVN award recognized her work in virtual reality in 2022, while later interviews highlighted a growing interest in acting, collaboration and finding time away from a demanding schedule.

Alexis Tae: music, movement and early interests

Finding a route into film

Before her first shoots, Tae worked long restaurant shifts. Looking for a change, she explored agencies and spoke with John O’Byrne of East Coast Talent. She began filming in January 2019 and attended the industry’s Las Vegas convention that month, meeting people before her first videos had appeared.

She had researched both the opportunities and the difficulties of the profession. By the time Dave Naz interviewed her in May 2019, she was already talking publicly about a career that had started only a few months earlier.

Learning to make her own work

The production shutdown of 2020 changed Tae’s routine. Alongside studio assignments, she began developing the skills needed to make work independently. That July, she described an at-home commission for the newly launched ModelTime channel and the experience of taking on a directing role herself.

She also reflected on the confidence she had gained by working with experienced colleagues. A separate creative collaboration took her outdoors: photographer Ashlee Juliet, known as GlitterFlick, photographed her during a hike through Los Angeles’s Elysian Park, stopping at locations overlooking the city.

A character named Jessie

In Blind Date, Tae played Jessie, the character arriving for a meeting with Lumi Ray’s character. Mandi Slade directed the 2023 production, whose cast also included Michael Vegas and Casey Calvert.

Tae singled out the experience of working within a storyline. Having a character and narrative context changed what the performance meant to her. She spoke warmly about the ensemble, particularly her work with Ray and Slade, and described the finished performance as something she was proud of.

Stepping into the 1940s

Timeless took Tae into a different screen world. Seth Gamble’s production moved through successive decades, with Tae and Jane Wilde appearing alongside him in its 1940s installment, released in December 2023. The wider cast included Jill Kassidy, Queenie Sateen and Violet Starr.

Gamble described classic Hollywood styling as a reference for the segment. Tae’s own response emphasized the care given to period detail, including hair and makeup. She named the collaboration with Gamble and Wilde as one of her favorite experiences, appreciating how the setting made the production feel distinctive.

Recognition across formats

At the 2022 AVN Awards, Tae and Nathan Bronson shared the award for Best Virtual Reality Sex Scene. The award recognized their work in a Star Wars-inspired parody, adding a virtual reality achievement to her screen career.

Later that year, four nominations were announced for Tae at the 2023 XBIZ Awards, including Female Performer of the Year. She thanked the organization and the people involved in her work. The nominations followed a year she described as especially positive for her professionally.

Making room for a broader life

By her 2023 interview with XBIZ, Tae was discussing a different approach to her schedule. She wanted quality and variety in her assignments, with more opportunities to act in features. She praised James Avalon’s enthusiastic direction and also spoke positively about several other filmmakers she had worked with.

The change made room for travel and time with her cats. After an intense period of production, she described feeling less stressed and more satisfied with her choices. Her interest in developing beyond performance remained open-ended, alongside an affection for the work itself.
